In da club!

OOOOeeeeeee! Tearin it up at Loop by Oxford Circus.

Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese - Not a Joke

This is the real name of an old pub. It's title does not do it justice. The place is very cool and old. It's so old.
Definitely on my list of places to go for a pint.

Knights Templar and Barristers

Checked out the Temple Festival today. Unprecedented access to the grounds of the Temple area. The area was started by the Knights of the Templar and later became the location of 2 of the 4 Inns of Court. The area has one the oldest churches and some very old buildings which have housed some amazing historical people and events.

Inside of the Royal Courts. Hopefully I don't have to go back there. Fingers crossed.

Temple Church built in the 1100's. Might have scene it in the Da Vinci Code.

Dead Knights whose remains were originally buried inside the Church. Warrior monks from the Crusades.

Inside the Inner Temple Hall. Hall for important dinners. All barristers must attend several dinners here a year.

Outside of Barrister Chambers some of the oldest buildings left in the area. Somehow survived blitzkrieg bombings.
Used in movies quite often.

SATURDAY MORNING START

Best sandwhich in Clapham. Only available some Saturday mornings. Not sure what the schedule is but when the pig is out on the spit nothing is better. Definitely the way to start the day.

Up to speed…

The previous posts should bring this thing pretty much up to date. I will try to make regular postings of the people and places along the way of this adventure. Check back often to stay connected.

PS - This is no PorkchopExpress.com, but I guess it will do. If this blog thing was all the rage 6 years ago it would have made that whole fiasco a little easier.

Until next time…Take care of yourself and each other.
Stay Up.

Brick Lane in Shoreditch

Very cool area. Good shops and bars in East London. 20 minutes Tube from my hood and the late night bus that passes through the real hood of Brixton is not too bad and takes 40 minutes. You don't seem to notice the time after 12 pints.

Camden

Camden home to the Camden locks and more goth freaks than Little 5 points in ATL. Some funky shops and some good eats.

The "Flat" in Clapham, south of the river

My living room. Very empty.

Bathroom is pretty nice and contemporary.

A small but nice kitchen. Currently empty aside from my paper flatware and plastic silverware.

The hallway into the North Wing.

My sanctuary.

Bringing in the New Year

Bond/GoGo Girl party at Bread & Roses Pub in Clapham. Think Roger Moore in Live or Let Die.
