The Common

A beautiful day in the common. Everyone comes out to enjoy some rare warm weather and sunshine.

The Cricket

Went down to The Oval after work Wednesday night to catch our first cricket match. This was a baseball style match that lasts about 3 hours instead of the normal 3 and 5 day tests.

Stumps, wickets and all that. Unfortunately the hometown team, Surrey Browncaps, didn't put up enough wickets to outlast the Hampshire Hawks. Schoey and the boys just didn't have enough in the tank.

Other match day news, the English really know how to transport beers around the stadium. Nifty cardboard carriers with handles allow you to carry 4 draft beers easily and safely.

Amazing!!

Megs and M Love the HR guru enjoying what turned out to be a real slog fest.

A little slow…

Cooking! The Queen and Uncle Sam have teamed up to tar and feather my finances so things have been a little slow.
Didn't want to neglect the blog so instead of the normal pics you get…

MAGIC MIKE'S MAGIC TURKEY CHILI

That is right, I am proud of my first ever made from scratch pot of chili. Which was able to feed me for 5 straight days. It was a nice break from the all Honey Nut Cheerios and Special K diet.

Riding the River

Yesterday I took a very long bike ride along the South Bank of the Thames. Around 40 miles round trip. Pretty amazing, passed things like: Big Ben, The Eye, Tower Bridge, Shakespeare's Globe, The Mayflower Pub, Greenwich, Canary Wharf, The O2 arena, the London flood barrier, and more.

Here are a few snaps of what I encountered.
